A Tradition of Loving, Quality Child Care Since 1980

In the fall of 1980 Sunbeam Nursery School opened its doors. The school was named after the song, “Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.” In 1991 as the need in the community grew for quality child care Sunbeam expanded to a fully licensed child care center. The center was renamed to Sunbeam Child Care Center LLC. Over the last 38 years Sunbeam has evolved into a leader in the early childhood education field. We are Nationally Accredited by NAEYC and have received TIER III status by the West Virginia Department of Health & Human Services. As we evolved through the years with the quality of our programs and the expertise of our staff our name needed to signify that growth. To more represent the mission and philosophy of Sunbeam, in January of 2011 we  expanded our name to Sunbeam Early Learning Center.
